5 Days In The Summer

La Paz is great for enjoying a summer getaway surrounded by nature with unlimited fun and beautiful sunsets.

On your first day, hop on a boat out to Isla Espíritu Santo and stop at one of the coves—it really is the best way to start your vacation. In the late afternoon, take a short tour of the capital with its cool murals and buildings, followed by a sunset sandboarding class in the dunes.

On day two, head out to Balandra in the morning or stay nearby at one of the more easily accessible beaches such as Pichilingue, El Coromuel, El Tesoro, or El Tecolote. That night, stroll along the malecón and enjoy the family ambiance, topping the evening off with an ice cream bursting with local flavor.

You can dedicate day three to getting to know the Pueblo Mágico of Todos Santos and its many galleries before catching some waves in Cerritos.

On day four, visit the old mining town of El Triunfo and wander along its cobblestone streets with a stop at the Silver Route Museum.

On the last day, take a long walk along the malecón and the historical center, stopping at the Baja California Sur Art Museum—don't forget to buy a souvenir!
